The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) has completed the transfer of its office to Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 635, in the center of Barcelona. Until now, the headquarters of the APDCAT was located at Carrer Rosselló, 214.
The new office is located in a institutional building, which houses the Catalan Finance Institute. It is adapted to people with reduced mobility and it provides common services such as security and surveillance. It is configured as a diaphanous space, designed to allow maximum architectural versatility and efficiency.
The transfer also responds to the needs of the organization in terms of the availability and suitability of the space to adequately carry out its tasks, so that in recent years the APDCAT team has grown progressively and currently exceeds forty people.
Its new location, close to Plaça Urquinaona, will facilitate accessibility and mobility by public transport, both for staff and citizens or entities that travel there to make inquiries or request personalized advice.
