New workshop on the relationship between access rights to public information and data protection

The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) are organizing a training workshop during the month of April to learn more about the limits of the right of access and the balance with the right of Data Protection.

The workshop is aimed at staff who act as data protection officer, or other functions in the field of data protection in the central and territorial services of the Generalitat departments or local administration.

The objective is to delve deeper into the bases of the transparency regime, the right of access to public information and the protection of personal data, as well as the limits applicable in the field of data protection to requests for public information . Also provide tools for balancing the public interest in disclosure and the rights of the people affected by a request for access to public information.

In addition, the workshop makes it possible to put into practice the knowledge acquired by solving different cases.
