The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) have published a new podcast from the series "Let's talk about personal data". This chapter of the series focuses on minors data processing, by Montse Rof, senior consultant of the Catalan Data Protection Authority. Thus, the podcast analyzes how to properly process minors data, a vulnerable group due to their age and personal circumstances. And it does so based on practical examples from the field of health and education, in accordance with the provisions of the European Regulation governing the right to data protection and Organic Law 3/2018.
This is the third podcast published in the series "Let's talk about personal data", which addresses different aspects of the processing of personal data from a practical perspective. The first chapter deals with the limits between the right of access to public information and the protection of personal data, while the second focuses on the task of data processing.
These materials are part of a joint initiative of the APDCAT and the EAPC started in 2022, for the development and dissemination of resources to bring data protection concepts closer to public sector personnel. It includes podcasts, which offer a more in-depth and specialized analysis, as well as videos, with a more general view and basics of the subject in the public sector field. Precisely, the first video published deals with the value of personal data in a practical way, by the hand of Joana Marí, delegate of data protection and responsible for strategic projects of the APDCAT.
All these resources are available in the School's Open Training space, on the APDCAT website, on the YouTube channel of the Public Administration School of Catalonia, and on the main podcast platforms (Spotify, Spotify for podcasters (formerly Anchor), Amazon Music, Castbox, Pocket Cast, Stitcher and Ivoox).
With these audiovisual resources, the School expands the content it has published openly on the subject over the last few years, in the Open Training space, linked to mass, self-learning and deepening courses.
