The Catalan Dades Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the Catalan Public Administration School (EAPC) have shared the new podcast of the 'Let's talk about personal data' series. It is a joint initiative to develop and disseminate resources to raise awareness and train both the people and the organizations that must deal with personal issues.
On this occasion, Carlos López, expert jurist of the Legal Advice Department of APDCAT, delved into the aspects to be taken into account in the use of social laws to avoid risks leading to privacy and control of personal data.
The podcast analyzes how the social networks have become very important in an eminently digital context, and talks about how they can help stay connected. He also warns that to understand the implications of disseminating personal information on general platforms, because the publication of data supose a loss of control of the information, and third parties can use it for more or less lawful purposes.
