The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) has launched a new renewed web platform and a mobile app of 'DPD en xarxa', the first learning and collaboration community of data protection officers of Catalonia
The objective is to provide the network with the appropriate tools to promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge, interaction between members, and participation. In this sense, the new web platform dpdenxarxa.cat and the app will serve to improve the user experience and facilitate joint work, training and collaboration.
The network is now presented with a new configuration, which provides autonomy to the different sections. The contents have also been reorganized, to facilitate navigation within the network and make it more intuitive.
As for the new mobile app, it is available in the Android and iOS stores, and is accessed via Moodle Wokplace.
The first year of a pioneering network
Recently, 'DPD en xarxa' celebrated its first anniversary. The APDCAT promoted this pioneering network to bring together the Catalan DPOs, and promote training, communication, the exchange of expertise and group work among the people who ensure that data protection regulations are complied with to Catalan public sector organizations.
This network, which already has nearly 240 members from all over the country, has in all this time hosted up to seven online trainings, on topics such as European data governance, the impact of the new European Regulation of Artificial intelligence in the processing of personal data, the eIDAS Regulation and the European digital identity portfolio, data protection interaction and the whistleblower law, the processing of personal data in the police and judicial sphere, and cyber security and personal data. Several working groups have also been created, on topics such as security violations and impact assessments of fundamental rights in the use of artificial intelligence.
'DPD en xarxa' renews its web platform and launches a new mobile app that improves the user experience and facilitates interaction and the exchange of experiences and knowledge
