The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) have launched a workshop on writing informative clauses. It is intended for the staff of the Generalitat de Catalunya and local bodies, who exercise functions as data protection officers of their entities, and other functions in the field of data protection.
The aim is to improve knowledge when drawing up the clauses that inform the people affected of a certain processing of personal data, in accordance with current regulations. Thus, they detail who processes the personal data, for how long, for what specific purpose, whether the data will be transferred, etc.
In addition to addressing the main aspects that must be taken into account when drafting an informative clause, the workshop also includes a session to clarify doubts and solve practical cases.
