The Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) publishes the announcement of the opening of the call period to apply for one of the two training grants of the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) for the 2025-2026 academic year. These are two grants aimed primarily at legal and technological profiles, which will allow you to delve deeper into the Authority's doctrine, emerging technologies and their impact on data protection and society. To participate, you must have graduated in law or computer engineering or equivalent degrees in the four years prior to the date of publication of the call, or be in a position to do so at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year. You must also have a level of proficiency in Catalan (level C1 or equivalent), and knowledge of English at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
With a duration of 10 months, and a dedication of 30 hours per week, these scholarships will begin on October 1, with an economic endowment of 11,500 each. The application for participation can be sent until May 21 through the electronic office, and using the form designed for this purpose.
This is the second edition of this initiative promoted by the APDCAT, with the aim of promoting the interest of present and future professionals in issues related to privacy and data protection, especially legal and technological profiles. Thus, the will of the APDCAT is to continue the training scholarships also in the next courses.
Applicants can submit their application until May 21st to be eligible for one of the two 10-month scholarships offered by the Catalan Data Protection Authority for this course, which aim to deepen theoretical and practical training in the Authority's doctrine, emerging technologies, and the impact of data protection on society and its practical application in public administrations and companies.
