From today until Tuesday 31, children and families can test their knowledge of preserving privacy on the networks, as part of the Festival de la Infancia. For the occasion, the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) has designed this year the activity ‘Don’t let the network confuse you’, set in an enchanted forest, with a network maze full of personal data. Thus, the Authority wants to continue its work of raising public awareness, following its commitment to gamification as a key resource for learning and integrating knowledge.
This time the APDCAT space is open to the participation of both children and families. To overcome the challenge, they will have to go through a networked maze, located in an enchanted forest, and decide which personal data it would be better to remove from the network and not share with the rest.
Among the options to choose from, you will find your name, phone number, a photo of a friend, your voice, a map, a music video, a photo of a dog, a story...
Learn to make passwords with magic
On the other hand, from today you can enjoy the show that the APDCAT has programmed to learn how to protect personal data with magic tricks. P@ssW0rd! presents children and families with different challenges to learn how to build a good password, and protect themselves from deception in the digital world.
The youth stage will host the show once a day at these days:
• December 27, at 11am
• December 29, at 5pm
• December 30, at 5pm
• December 31, at 11am
