In this sixth edition, the training is aimed at technical staff of the public sector and the departments of the Generalitat de Catalunya, staff of Catalan statutory or independent bodies and Catalan universities, as well as technical staff of local entities and the local public sector. The aim of this activity is to provide the DPOs in these areas with the skills, competencies and knowledge necessary to ensure adequate advice and supervision of data protection regulations.
The 180-hour course is taught in face-to-face mode until June 5, with theoretical and practical classes distributed in 24 units. Among the topics to be addressed are the principles of data protection, the legitimacy to treat them, the commissioning of the treatment, the figure of the data protection delegate, proactive responsibility and risk approach, the registration of treatment activities, the impact assessment on data protection (DPIA) and prior consultation, or the national security scheme.
The aim of the course is to provide DPO people with the skills, skills and knowledge necessary to guarantee rigorous advice and supervision of data protection regulations.
The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) are launching this Friday, January 23, a new edition of the specialized training course for data protection delegates, which aims to provide the DPO with the skills and competencies to guarantee an optimal development of their functions
