Add to Google CalendarThe coordinator of Information Technology and Security, Albert Serra, attends on June 6 and 7 the 71st Meeting of the International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications (IWGDPT), the so-called Berlin Group, which is held in Rome, hosted by the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali). Among the topics to be discussed, there is the emergence of artificial intelligence systems such as ChatGPT and the role of facial recognition in smart cities. The International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications (IWGDPT) was created in 1983 at the initiative of a number of national data protection authorities. It has focused on issues related to data protection and information technology privacy in the broadest sense.
