Closing of the specialized training course for data protection officers 2022 and delivery of certificates

Next Tuesday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m., the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) are organizing the closing ceremony of the specialized training course for data protection officers (DPO) of the public administrations and their public sector, which jointly promote the two entities. During the event, certificates of completion of this program will be handed out, which this year has been addressed to DPOs at the local level. This training activity aims to provide DPOs with the necessary skills and competences to ensure adequate data protection regulation advice and supervision.

The Deputy Director General of Training of the EAPC, Magda Castro, will be in charge of welcoming the event, which will have the participation of Alessandro Mantelero, data protection expert of the European Data Protection Committee and professor of Private Law and Law and Technology at the Polytechnic University of Turin. Mantelero will address the new regulatory challenges for the application of artificial intelligence systems in Europe.

For her part, the director of the APDCAT, Meritxell Borràs, will close the event, which will take place in the EAPC Auditorium (c/ Girona, 20. Barcelona).
