You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in three cases:
- When the processing is based on a mission conducted out in the public interest or the exercise of public powers conferred on the data controller entity, or on the legitimate interest pursued by it or by a third party. In this case, the stance of opposition must rest on reasons related to your personal situation. The data controller entity must stop processing them, unless it proves compelling legitimate reasons for processing the data that prevail over your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the formulation, filing or defence of claims.
- When the purpose of the processing is direct marketing, including the creation of profiles related to this marketing.
- When the processing has statistical or scientific or historical research purposes and a reason related to your personal situation is invoked.
The recognition of your right of opposition means that the entity that processes your data must stop processing it.
