The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) issues reports or opinions upon a specific subject, in response to requests for information or inquiries made.
In addition, it issues resolutions in response to rights protection claims made by the affected persons. It also hands down sanctions when it finds a breach of the regulations. It also grants authorisations when it is not necessary to inform data subjects about the collection of their personal data or for the complete maintenance of certain data.
In compliance with the regulations, the APDCAT anonymises the published resolutions, and changes or deletes some references from the opinions and reports to preserve the identity of the people or entities formulating the queries.
