The Catalan Data Protection Authority has drawn up the "Data Protection Pills", a document to help citizens detect risk situations that could lead to a loss of control of their personal data and manipulation on the Internet. Collects recommendations to take care of personal data when browsing, interacting, shopping online, and also with the use of mobile devices.
The document is structured around 8 information pills to alert the public to the main existing risks for the loss of control of privacy and offers direct and clear recommendations on:
- The right to data protection
- Other forms of authentication
- Internet user tracking
- Physical security of mobile phones
- Manipulation of people
- Shopping online
