Aimed at professionals without prior training in data protection, the training will take place from January 13 to March 24, and is especially aimed at third sector entities and small and medium-sized enterprises, in coordination with the Third Social Sector Table of Catalonia.
The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the Institute for Lifelong Learning - IL3 of the University of Barcelona, in coordination with the Social Third Sector Platform of Catalonia, promoted specialized training for professionals from organizations in the social third sector and small and medium-sized enterprises, so that they acquire the necessary knowledge when handling personal data. These are precise entities that may collect and manage particularly sensitive data related to health, ethnicity, etc., which require reinforced protection.
It will take place from next January 13th to March 24th, in face-to-face format. It is practical and accessible training for professionals from third-sector entities and SMEs without prior legal experience, to help them comply with data protection regulations. It provides basic knowledge on key concepts, risks, and security measures, with direct application to the daily operations of organizations, through practical sessions.
In addition to acquiring new knowledge, upon completing the course participants will obtain a diploma issued by the University of Barcelona and registered in Europass. Specifically, a University Micro-credential Certificate from the University of Barcelona, for the proprietary course equivalent to 3 ECTS credits.
Registrations are open until December 15th and places are limited.
