The Catalan Data Protection Authority is participating from 6 to 9 May in the activities scheduled within the framework of the 33rd European Conference of Data Protection Authorities, the Spring Conference, which this year is being held in Georgia and brings together representatives from more than sixty institutions. On this occasion, on 8 May at 4.30 pm, the director Meritxell Borràs will present the Catalan FRIA model for preparing impact assessments on fundamental rights in the use of AI, together with the expert Alessandro Mantelero, who led the 'DPD in the network' working group within which the methodology has been developed.
On the other hand, on May 8 at 11:30 am, the head of the Legal Advisory Department of the APDCAT, Xavier Urios, will speak on panel V to present the success story of the agreement with the GAIP to establish common criteria to respond to requests for access to public information on the traceability of clinical history.
