The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the Department of Education are organizing this online conference directed at the educational community, with the aim of disseminating tools that will support them in the digital environments in which students move, and data protection regulations that must be kept in mind.
The event raised the need to update understanding of data protection in the field of education professionals: teachers and directors of centres.
During the event, the new Online course on data protection for teachers and staff in the field of education will be presented as well as a guide for educational centres to frequently asked questions regarding data protection guidelines.
Finally, recommendations will be given to educational centres on the publication of images and other personal data of students on the Internet.
The event will be held by video-conference in an online format (Zoom), on 28 October 2020, from 5.30 p.m. to 6.50 p.m.
