The director of APDCAT, Meritxell Borràs, will take part in the roundtable discussion ‘AI and Disruptive Technologies from the Perspective of Supervisory and Data Protection Authorities: Initiatives and Powers’, held as part of the event “Innovation and Privacy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, organized by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), in the frame of the Summer Activities 2025 of the Menéndez Pelayo International University in Santander.
This course, taking place from July 9 to 11, is aimed at businesses, public administrations, data protection professionals, and researchers.
It will analyze the new European Artificial Intelligence Regulation and include a debate on the European Data Spaces, a strategic initiative of the European Union. In this debate, the role of data protection authorities will be key, alongside the perspectives of SMEs, startups, researchers, and privacy professionals.
