The Catalan Data Protection Authority promotes the defense of privacy in the use of the European Health Data Space within the framework of the Mobile World Congress, where it will be present with a permanent space to raise awareness of companies and citizens about respect for rights and obligations regarding personal data.

Add to Google CalendarThe Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) participates from February 26 to 29 in the 4YFN event, as part of the Mobile World Congress, and thus consolidates its presence in this international event that brings together the entrepreneurship sector and emerging companies.
On Wednesday February 28, at 12:15 pm, as part of the Digital Health Program, the APDCAT is organizing the conference "Data protection challenges by using the European Health Data Space (EHDS)", with the outstanding participation of Marit Hansen, Data Protection Commissioner of the German Land of Schleswig-Holstein, and Meritxell Borràs, director of the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT). The event, moderated by the head of Legal Advice of the APDCAT, Xavier Urios, will take place in the Sky Stage room, in Hall 8.
In addition, the APDCAT will have a permanent space for exchange located in Hall 8. It will host a specific point for legal advice concerning data protection, the InfoPrivacy Point, to answer questions of the attending public and the participating companies.
Also at the stand, attendees will be able to participate in the Privacy Warrior Challenge, a quiz specially designed to test knowledge in the field, focused this year on the protection of privacy in Health.
Finally, on Tuesday 27 at 10:30 am, the booth will host the talk "Biometric data: a new paradigm for privacy", by the head of Legal Advice of the APDCAT, Xavier Urios, to delve into technologies such as facial recognition or fingerprinting to access products or services, and the challenges and risks associated with them.
